Will Cardamone

Will Cardamone began skiing at the age of 2 in Aspen, Colorado on a pair of 'wooden house skis' that his father made for him to 'cruise around the house'. But when he attempted to ski down the stairs, it was then time to move on to the driveway and eventually the mountain. Will raced for the Aspen Valley Ski Club, and eventually took his skills to the park and the backcountry. But once he freed his heels, he finally realized where he wanted to go with his skiing
Will intents to relieve the sport of telemarking from it's image as a sport for 'granola-eating hippies in wool pants and skinny skis' and bring it up in the world of snowsports. Through his dedication to free-heel skiing and his solid, well-rounded skiing backround; Will may very well be the one to take telemarking to the next level.
After back-to-back podium finishes in the National Telemark Freeskiin Championships in Crested Butte (3rd in '05 and 2nd in '06), the future is wide-open for this 21-year-old University of Colorado student.
Last spring, Will was invited on a quest to ski the highest peaks in Colorado with fellow BD skiers Nick De Vore and Chris Davenport, where he skied 9 peaks over 14,000 feet (www.skithe14ers.com).
This winter, Will plans to head over to Utah, to pursue his ski dreams: deep backcountry powder, film segments, freeski contests, and pushing telemarking to a higher ground.
